When we built exhaustive checks for unsafe send paths, scoping bugs made them pass everything — including the real holes. The dual of “derived checks find more bugs” is “derived checks can hide bugs if their scope is wrong.”
The habit now: every new gate ships with a case that must fail. If it does not fail, the gate is not done.
